# Reading

Papiers adapts the reading experience to what you’re reading, whether it’s a paper, article, or thread.

## Papers and PDFs

Open the **Info** pane in the sidebar to see the paper’s outline and jump between sections.

Press `⌘F` to find text in the PDF.

### Equations stay equations

Select an equation and Papiers recovers the underlying LaTeX instead of the broken glyphs you often get when copying math from a PDF.

Copy it directly, or use it as context for a question.

## Articles

Saved articles open in a clean reading view with the text and images pulled out of the surrounding webpage.

Your highlights stay with the article in Papiers and sync with highlights you make from the Chrome extension.

## X posts and threads

Saved posts open without the surrounding feed.

When Papiers has the thread, its posts appear together in order, including images and links.

## Find what you remember

Use `⌘F` when you know the words you’re looking for in the document in front of you.

For semantic search across what you’ve read, use **Search** in the sidebar or press `⌘⇧P`.

## Focus on the document

Turn on **Focus mode** when you want the active document to fill the window.

Exit focus mode to bring your chats and other documents back beside it.
